A cellular (honeycomb) blind is a row of fabric cells that trap air against your window — the same principle as a double-glazed pane, in fabric. Here’s what that means in practice, and what we build into every ThermaBlind.

The trapped air gives an R-value of 2+, which should cut your window’s energy losses by more than half, summer and winter. Room Darkening fabric goes further: a heat-reflective aluminized foil layer inside each cell adds insulation and blocks light completely. The cells damp street noise too.
Lift from the bottom or pull down from the top — daylight in at the top while the street can’t see in at eye level. The cord-free locking system stops and holds wherever you let go. No cords also means no tangling or choking risk for children and pets.
A premium metal header — not the plastic or paper-and-glue kind — carries robust non-woven 100% polyester fabric. A clear handle lets you raise and lower the blind without touching the fabric, so it stays clean.
Every blind is custom-cut to the nearest 1/8″ — no stock sizes, no gaps. We deliver in the St. John’s area and install as an optional add-on, priced with your quote. Check your price online — it’s competitive.
Two fabrics on one header: a light-filtering cell for daytime and a blackout cell for night. Slide between three modes — open, filtered, dark — without changing blinds. The practical pick for bedrooms that double as offices, and for anyone working shifts.
